🏡 Life at the Home
Residents and staff have continued to enjoy spending quality time together through a variety of activities and outings. 😊 The home has maintained a warm, friendly, and positive atmosphere throughout the month, filled with laughter, companionship, and special moments shared together. 💖
🎨 Activities & Wellbeing
At the beginning of April, we held a very successful Easter Fayre and proudly raised £570 for the residents’ fund. Thank you to everyone who supported the event! 💛🐣🌷
Residents also enjoyed several lovely trips to the seafront , where they spent time outdoors enjoying fresh air, beautiful views, and ice creams together.🌊🍦
Throughout the month, we organised a range of enjoyable activities including:
- 🎨 Painting sessions
- 🐰 Easter celebrations
- ⚽ Fun ball games
- 🎶 A wonderful concert performed by Debbie & Sarah
- 🇬🇧 St George’s Day celebrations
- 🚌 Minibus outings and local trips
In addition, we held a special Remembrance Day in honour of a resident who recently passed away. It was a meaningful opportunity for residents and staff to come together, share memories, and celebrate their life in a warm and supportive atmosphere. 💐🕊️
❤️ Health & Care Updates
We continue to actively recruit for vacant care positions to ensure all residents receive the highest quality care, support, and attention at all times.👩⚕️👨⚕️
🔧 Maintenance Within the Home
Fire door improvement works are continuing throughout the building as part of our ongoing commitment to safety and compliance.🚪
In addition, room upgrade works are being completed on a rolling basis, one room at a time, to help minimise disruption to residents and visitors. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while these improvements continue.🛏️✨
👥 Staffing & Community
We are delighted to welcome four new carers and a new kitchen assistant to the Old Hastings House team.👏🍽️
These new additions have strengthened our workforce and will help us continue providing high-quality care, support, and hospitality to all our residents. 💙
🌼 Looking Ahead
We are looking forward to a busy and enjoyable period ahead, with a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings planned for our residents. 🎉🌞
As the seasons change, we will continue focusing on creating meaningful experiences, encouraging social connections, and supporting wellbeing through both indoor and outdoor opportunities. 🌻🚶♀️☀️
