☀️ Life at the Home

May was a relaxed and enjoyable month for both residents and staff. As the month came to a close, we were treated to some beautiful warm weather and a mini heatwave. To help everyone stay cool and refreshed, plenty of ice creams, lollies, and cold refreshments were provided, which were thoroughly enjoyed by residents and staff alike.

Residents also enjoyed a number of outdoor visits, making the most of the sunshine and fresh air. The home continued to be filled with warmth, laughter, and companionship, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.

❤️ Health & Care Updates

We remain committed to delivering person-centred care and ensuring residents receive the support they need. Our team continues to work closely with healthcare professionals, residents, and families to promote wellbeing, maintain high standards of care, and respond to individual needs effectively.

During May, residents also benefited from visits by external healthcare and wellbeing professionals. Our hairdresser visited on 13th May and 27th May, helping residents look and feel their best. In addition, the Chiropodist visited on 15th May and 21st May, providing essential foot care and support to residents who required the service.

The health, happiness, and comfort of our residents remain at the heart of everything we do.

🔧 Maintenance Within the Home

We continue to invest in maintaining and improving the home to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Ongoing improvement works continue throughout the home, and we are pleased to report that the fire door improvement project on the lower level is now nearing completion. The next phase of works will begin on the Blue Floor, where fire door upgrades will be carried out as part of our continued commitment to safety and compliance. We anticipate minimal disruption and thank residents, families, and visitors for their continued patience and understanding while these important improvements are completed.

👥 Staffing & Community

We are delighted to welcome several new Care Assistants to our team this month.

Their arrival strengthens our workforce and helps us continue providing excellent care and support to our residents. We look forward to seeing them become valued members of our home community.

🌞 Looking Ahead

June promises to be another exciting month!

We are looking forward to celebrating:

👔 Father's Day
🌅 Summer Solstice

Alongside these special occasions, residents can look forward to a variety of activities, outings, entertainment, and opportunities to enjoy the summer season with friends, family, and staff.

We will also be undertaking the annual medication reviews for residents in the Suites, which will be carried out by the visiting Clinical Pharmacist. These reviews help ensure that medications continue to meet residents' individual needs and support the highest standards of care.

💐 Thank You

Thank you to all residents, families, friends, and staff for helping make our home such a happy and supportive community. We look forward to creating many more wonderful memories together in the coming month.
